Founded in 2006, The Association of Texas Appraisers was formed to provide reasonably priced, convenient continuing education and professional networking opportunities for real estate appraisers and other interested parties within the State of Texas; to establish and maintain minimum requirements for membership; to confer membership designations to properly qualified appraisers; and to serve the needs of its members.

    ATA South Central Texas Social

    ATA is will host a regional appraiser social event on Thursday, January 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar, 1400 Pantheon Way, San Antonio, TX 78232.

    Registration is not required but it's recommended.

    ATA’s 13th Mid-Year meeting will be held February 15-16 at the Courtyard New Braunfels River Village, 750 IH 35 North, New Braunfels, TX 78130.  The following events will be held at this mid-year meeting:
    • Friday morning - 8:00 a.m. - Noon - TREC Legal I** (Separate Registration Fee)  The instructor is Dawn Lavka.
    • Friday afternoon - 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Welcome and Association Update
    • Friday afternoon - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Rural Property Appraising (Diana T. Jacob, ATA-G)
    • Friday evening - 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Networking Reception
    • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Size Matters:  ANSI Standard for Measuring Residential Properties (Bryan Reynolds)  Take this class and Public Records, Square Footage & the Real Estate Information Crisis and qualify for the Home Measurement Specialist Certification.

    The ATA Board of Directors will meet Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

    Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow appraisal professionals at the continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, and at the networking reception Friday evening.

    Who Should Attend

    Anyone who needs to stay on the leading edge of appraisal issues, as well as Professionals who are responsible for keeping appraisal processes in compliance.

    Hotel Accommodations

    A block of rooms have been reserved for meeting attendees at the Courtyard by Marriott River Village. Sleeping rooms are $113 (plus tax) per night for single/double rooms.  Reservations must be received by January 21, 2019. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Call (800) 321-2211 and mention ATA to receive this discounted rate. 

    ACE/MCE Hours

    This meeting is approved for 12 ACE Hours.  ATA will submit for 12 MCE Hours. 

    Registration Fees

    The fee to attend this meeting is $130 for ATA members and $260 for non-members.  (Fees increase $20 14 days before the meeting.)

    Registration with payment must be received at least five business days in advance of the conference to guarantee your registration. If you have not received an e-mail confirmation one week prior to the conference, please call ATA at (210) 837-7123, M-F, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. to confirm your registration.

    ATA’s 14th Annual Meeting and Education Conference will be held August 9-10 at the Sheraton Georgetown Texas Hotel and Conference Center, 1101 Woodlawn Avenue, Georgetown, TX 78628.  The following events will be held at this annual meeting:
