Founded in 2006, The Association of Texas Appraisers was formed to provide reasonably priced, convenient continuing education and professional networking opportunities for real estate appraisers and other interested parties within the State of Texas; to establish and maintain minimum requirements for membership; to confer membership designations to properly qualified appraisers; and to serve the needs of its members.

    Rescheduled Due to Proposed Weather Event

    ATA’s Rio Grande Valley meeting will now be held on February 4 at the Texas Regional Bank in Harlingen (6770 W. Expressway 83/ Interstate 2).  The following event will be held at this meeting:

    • 2022-2023 7- Hour USPAP Update Course.  A new 2022-2023 Student Manual and the new USPAP Reference Manual will be provided to each registrant.  Each attendee must bring their own copy of the 2020-2021 USPAP Publication, either digital or paper copy.  Should you no longer have the 2020-2021 Publication, you will need to purchase it in advance on The Appraisal Foundation website

    The instructor for this meeting is ATA's President, Pam Teel, ATA-G.

    Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow appraisal professionals at the Friday continental breakfast, breaks and lunch.

    Who Should Attend

    Anyone who needs to stay on the leading edge of appraisal issues, as well as professionals who are responsible for keeping appraisal processes in compliance.

    This meeting is approved for 7 ACE and MCE hours.

    Registration Fees

    The fee to attend this meeting is $150 for ATA members and $300 for non-members.  (Fees increase $20 7 days before the meeting.) Appraiser trainees are able to attend at ½ price, with no credit.  If you want the USPAP Document, you must purchase it from the Appraisal Foundation's website.

    Registration with payment must be received at least five business days in advance of the event to guarantee your registration. If you have not received an e-mail confirmation one week prior to the conference, please call ATA at (210) 837-7123, M-F, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. to confirm your registration.

    ATA’s 16th Mid-Year meeting will be held February 18-19 at the Courtyard New Braunfels River Village, 750 IH 35 North, New Braunfels, TX 78130.  The following events will be held at this mid-year meeting:

    • Friday morning - 8:00 a.m. - Noon (optional pre-conference course - separate registration fee required) Appraiser's Guide to ANZI-Z765 2021*. Your instructor is Bryan Reynolds.
    • Friday afternoon - 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Welcome (Pam Teel, ATA-G, President)
    • Friday afternoon - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Basics of Manufactured Housing Valuation*- This is a specialty continuing education course with core considerations of identifying the residential appraisal assignment and specific requirements of Manufactured Housing.  Differences between Panelized Housings, Mobile Home, Modular Housing and Site Built Housing will be made clear. Your instructor is Diana Jacob, ATA-G.
    • Friday evening - 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Networking Reception
